The Owl's Nest is all about fun for the whole family in a location that is conveniently situated close to Main Street and a short walk to many great amenities such as public pools, tennis courts, restaurants, groceries and more.
Washroom & Shower Facilities
We have washrooms with FREE showers available for all campground guests.
Fire Pits
What's camping without a fire? The heart of each site is a fire pit - perfect for roasting marshmallows, hot dogs or warming up on a cool evening.
Off-leash Dog Park
Adjacent to the bike park is an off-leash area for the furry family members. It's fully fenced and perfect for fetch!
Coaldale Pool
In just a 1.1 km walk straight west of the campground, you will find yourself at the Coaldale Pool. This is a great way to cool off during the summer’s heat!
Biking Path & Park
COMING SOON - Still under construcion on the west end of the campground, is a mountain bike park that is great for both beginners and advanced riders. Also located on the south end (connected to the campground) there is a paved walking path that navigates from the east to the west end of Coaldale.
Quads Recreation Center
The quads is in very close proximity (2.8 km) and is directly connected to the paved walking path that leads to the campground. It includes baseball and soccer fields where various tournaments take place.
Land-O-Lakes Golf Course
4.0 km west of the campground on 20th Avenue, you will find yourself at Land-O-Lakes golf course—a prestigious golf club.
Pickleball, Tennis & Basketball Courts
Coaldale has recently built a multi-court facility that includes pickleball, tennis and basketball and is located just 900 meters away!
Birds of Prey Conservation Center
Since 1982, the Birds of Prey is Alberta’s first privately licensed raptor rescue and conservation organization. The Birds of Prey is located just 3.3 km from the campground. They offer visitors up close and interactive experiences featuring birds such as hawks, falcons, eagles and owls of Alberta.
